Two minor league baseball players got a total of 240 hits. Washington had 14 more hits than sanchez. Find the number of hits for each player. Washington had___Hits Sanchez had____hits

    the equation for this would be (14+x)+x= 240

    You can also divide it in half and then subtract 7 on one side 240 /2 = 120 and if you subtract 7 on one side and add it to the other..one will have 14 more this help?

    no no ..one has 14 more....so one person got 113 ..and the other got 127 since he had 14 more
