Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to a change in its state of motion or rest, or the tendency of an object to resist any change in its motion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inertia

Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to a change in it's state of motion or rest, or the tendency of a object to resist any change in it's motion. Isaac Newton came up with it!!
