you posted a huge bunch of question... What you expect us to do??

- anonymous

Can you just tell me the general idea to solving them?
Just look at the first one, what is it asking? I just need to know how to do these types of problems.

- anonymous

Ok.. I will tell you the method..
In this question. It is asking that you have to find the value of the unknown variable (most probably range of the variable). and by sustituting those range of that value you have to plot the graph

- anonymous

So I would solve the inequality first, right?

- skullpatrol

Yup

- anonymous

Yes... then find the range of the variable

- anonymous

How does one find the range? Can you draw it out?

- anonymous

Let us take an example..
first one it self
it says
\(2x+4\ge24\). so you ned to find the value of x which satisfy this relation

- anonymous

How can you find

- anonymous

I would solve for x just like an equation, right?

- anonymous

yes..

- anonymous

so can you write step by step?

- anonymous

I'll try

- anonymous

or just the value of x is sufficient.. I will explan How the range will come after that

- anonymous

but step by step is better for you to understand

- anonymous

Can you write it out step by step really fast?

- anonymous

I think.... you can use draw tool...
Or equation editor

- anonymous

If you solve this your own.. you can solve all remaining question by yourself

- anonymous

Okay. Want me to try and solve the first one?

- anonymous

I think that is the purpose of Openstudy
Yes.. I will Help you, in case of doubts

- anonymous

2x + 4 >/ 24
2x >/ 20
x >/ 10
Now my x will start at ten and go on infinitely?

- anonymous

Yes if you got your own.. that is right.. you have done a wonderful job

- anonymous

This is really easy.

- anonymous

Yes.. all else is.. but .. You need to take care when dealing with inequality.. some times it may be confusing. to avoid that it is always advisible to chck the answer you got... now substitute any value greater than or equal to 10 and check ...

- anonymous

Ok

- anonymous

weather your Left hand side of the equation is greater than or equal to 24... also substitute a value less than 10 to check equation is satisfying or not

- anonymous

Thanks

- anonymous

well done.. all the best with next questions too... take care.. think well... once again all the best
