    You posted this in the match section...it's a biology question. 1. The chemicals come from the factory, a point source. 2. The phosphates could come from a variety of sources. 3. The fertilizers come from a farm, a point source. 4. The sediment comes from construction sites, each a point source.

    I have no idea what textbook you're using. You asked a biology question, I answered it. You don't need a textbook for this question anyway...a point source is exactly what it sounds like. A source is where something comes from, a point is a single place.
