Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1In the American political system the three branches of government, legislative, executive and judiciary, each have specific constitutionally defined functions and powers. One branch of government is not allowed to exercise exclusive power over any of the other branches, or interfere in the way the other branches exercise their own assigned powers.
