Multiply the fraction by 14/14 (which is equal to 1). Then the fraction becomes 7/42. Simplify to 1/6

No. You're dividing 7/14 by three. Multiply the fraction by 14/14. In other words, multiply the top (numerator) by 14, and multiply the bottom (denominator) by 14. The answer is 1/6. Look at my first reply.

**You need to divide 7/14 by three. An easy way to do that, looking at the fraction, is to multiply the top and bottom by 14. 7/14 turns into 7. 3 turns into 42. So the fraction becomes 7/42. Then simplify it to reach 1/6, which is the answer.
