yess! subtract y from both sides, then divide 5y by -x-20. and I'm gonna change my answer. y=-1/5x+4

    The goal is to isolate y. x + 5y = 20 Subtract x from both sides. x - x + 5y = -x + 20 5y = -x + 20 Next divide both sides by 5. y = (-x + 20)/5 y = (-1/5)(x) + 4
