Why do humans sweat and dogs pant?

    we have sweat glans that will help cool us and release body heat. for a dog that's a way of releasing it. but what most people don;t know is that thye sweat through their feat to help cool but if they get to hot the pads on the feat stop working...i cant explain why we were made that way. that's a matter of belief.

    Giovanni's right; it's a function of homeostasis. Homeostasis is the body's way or maintaining a stable internal environment, so that it can survive changes in the external environment.
