    3 ft = 36 inches

    So $1.49 for 3 ft. is the same as saying $1.49 for 36 inches

    1) Unit Price: $1.49/36 inches = 0.04138 = 0.04 = 4 cents per inch 2) Unit Price: $0.69/18 inches = 0.03833 = 0.04 = 4 cents per inch So after rounding, the two have the same unit price.
