Pass a plane through a cube so that the section formed will be a regular hexagon. If the side of the cube is 4cm, find the area of the section.

    it looks like the sides of the hexagon are produced by a line joining the midpoints of the sides of the cube, so the sides of the hexagon will be sqrt(2^2 + 2^2) = sqrt8
