why star twinkle on the sky?

    fluctuation in refractive index of the atmosphere makes the light bend.. and so during sometimes the light from the star doesn't reach your eye.. that is the time the star disappears for a while.. and then comes back.. so it appears hence twinkles!

    ^He's right + make notice that your eyes does those micro movements all the time.
