Which of the following is the slope between the two points (5, 1) and (4, 6)? (4 points) – 5 –5 2. Which of the following is the slope between the two points (–1, –1) and (8, 0)? (4 points) 9 –9 – what I want to know is why in question number 2 the slope is 1/9 but in question one its -5 and NOT a fraction

    Question 1: slope is (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) slope is: 6-1/4-5 = 5/-1 = -5 Question 2: slope is: 0--1/8--1 1/9

    Techincally it is a fraction in both because 5/-1 is a fraction, But that simplifies to -5.
