    Question 1: slope is (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) slope is: 6-1/4-5 = 5/-1 = -5 Question 2: slope is: 0--1/8--1 1/9

Techincally it is a fraction in both because 5/-1 is a fraction, But that simplifies to -5.
