Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I see it but I'm just trying to see how you got that

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1Well, first you would add either 9 or 6 to both sides to combine like terms. I chose 6.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.06+3x=9 Add 6 to both sides so "3x" will be by itself. 3x=3 Then divide by 3 on both sides so x will be by itself. x=1

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0x/5 + 9 = 4 (5) x/5 + (5)9 = (5)4 (multiply everything by five to get rid of the fraction) x + 45 = 20 (subtract 45 from each side to get x by itself) x + 45 45 = 20 45 x = 20 45 x = 25 check... x/5 + 9 = 4 25/5 + 9 = 4 5 + 9 = 4 4 = 4 (correct) ANSWER : x = 25
