    Use distributive property for number 1 to solve for "v" because I am assuming that's what you want? 8v-64 + 3v 11v-64 if you're asked to solve for v, set it equal to zero and your answer should be: \[v = \frac{ 64 }{ 11 }\] You can check by plugging in your new found v into your original equation and it should equal zero, which it does.
