Note: The person’s heroism has to be related to WWI, but this does not mean he or she must have served in WWI. Step 1: Write a paragraph in which you define your idea of a hero and explain the qualities and characteristics of a person who would be considered a hero. Step 2: In the second paragraph, explain how the hero you chose personifies those qualities described in Step 1. Explain how this person’s characteristics and actions make him or her a hero in your eyes.
