    if f= the piecewise, then f'(1) equals what? Do I find the derivatives?

    well, you have to calculate the closest values to 1, and youll work with the corresponding eq. then i guess you just have to solve the eq with the values you have.

    Now I know why I couldn't match up my work and the answer....sorry guys. I've been putting the wrong problem together. LOL. Silly me. Thanks anyways!

    I had the right answer the whole time. I just kept looking at the wrong answer choices. Which is why I thought I couldn't solve the problem correctly.
