    y=180-116 and x = 360-y-125-72

    well since y lies on same line as 116 it means they are supplimentary and add up to 180 so 116+y=180 solving for y you get 64 then now knowing y all the interior angles add up to 360 54+x+125+72 = 360 sfx and x=109

    because two complimentry angles are 180 , y=180-116 and because sum of every 4 sides shape angles is360 , x=360-y-125-72

    well start with the y. Look at your pic It is just common knowledge that 116 and y are supplimentary therefore 116+y=180 y=180-116= 64 , y = 64 get that so far?

    yes , its easy y and angle 116 are complimentry so y+116=180 and sum of 4sides shape is 360 so x+y+125+72=360 got it?

    and now that you know y you can use it to figure out x in any 4 sided polygon whether it be a trapazoid in your case, a square, rectangle, diamond, kite shape they all add up to 360 so use that fact. you know 2 plus the y you just figured out. making 3 angles total that you know and add up to 360 64+125+72+x=360 251+x = 360 I added like terms x=360-251 subtract 251 from both sides x=109 :)

    @shining it is suplementary not complimentary COmplimentary means adds up to 90 not 180.
