Opposite sides are equal in a rhombus side AD = side BC side AB = side DC side AC = side AC These two trianlges are congruent by SSS
anonymous
  • anonymous
@Fang02 does that help
anonymous
  • anonymous
This is for triangles ABD is congruent to CDB, correct? I kind of get it. Why is AC congruent to AC? There is no line connecting the two unless you go through the other sides.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes I took this quiz and got a 29/30 I got a 100% on this problem
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay, I do trust you.
anonymous
  • anonymous
My bad AC=AC is supposed to be DB=BD sorry for the mistype
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay, I understand that better.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh wait nevermind are you sure that the diagnol is n the right place because for me it connectes AC to AC but for you it connects DB to BD
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes, I am certain. This question is in the "Proving That a Quadrilateral is a Parallelogram Quiz."
anonymous
  • anonymous
I know I have the same quiz except for me the last question is a little different. The correct answer is DB=BD :D
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay, I need the reasons why they are like that though.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Reflexive property
anonymous
  • anonymous
I know that one. The following is what I need help with. Line segment AB is parallel to line segment CD Reason: ? Angle ABD is congruent to angle CDB Reason: ? Triangle ABD is congruent to triangle CDB Reason: ?
anonymous
  • anonymous
The reasons for the first one is because opposite sides of rhombuses are congruent The reason for the second one is since the anlges in a rhombus are congruent when you draw a line through it (reflecive property) it cuts the angles into equal parts making them congruent The reason for the third one is SAS
anonymous
  • anonymous
@Fang02 Is that what you wanted
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes, thank you very much!

Your welcome! :D

anonymous
  • anonymous
What other classes are you in
anonymous
  • anonymous
I'm only in geometry through Connections Academy. However, I always take Health, English 1, World History, and Earth Science.
anonymous
  • anonymous
What do you mean you always take those classes?
anonymous
  • anonymous
I don't understand.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh sorry. I typed the wrong thing. I meant "However, I *also"
anonymous
  • anonymous
You said that you always take Health, English 1, World History, and Earth Science. What does that mean? Are you trying to say that you are taking those classes right now
anonymous
  • anonymous
Ok where do you take those classes at?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Two other online schools
anonymous
  • anonymous
Two other online schools
anonymous
  • anonymous
Why dont you just take them all at one school?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Each school teaches certain classes differently for me. For instance, one school may teach math with textbooks while another teaches it through tutorials or a lot of practice problems and such.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh that makes sense. What other two school are you going to?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Aventa and FLVS. What about you?
anonymous
  • anonymous
I wanted to go to two different online schools but when I signed up connections told me that I could only be in one online school at a time
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh I didn't know that.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah neither did I until I signed up but I dont mind because the two schools that I wanted to go to had different graduation requirments
anonymous
  • anonymous
I'm going through my school district, so perhaps that's why it differs
anonymous
  • anonymous
That's good. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
yeah why are you taking earth science. I took that class in 7th grade
anonymous
  • anonymous
I took it back in elementary school, but this time it is required for me to graduate for a high school credit.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh that's interesting. I have to take chemistry to graduate or AP earth science. I dont want to take chemistry so I am going to take AP earth science
anonymous
  • anonymous
Cool, good luck! I think I have to take both chemistry and biology. I know biology for sure though.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I dont think that you have to take all of those science classes. To graduate from high school you need three science classes. one would be earth science biology and the third physical science
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh okay.
anonymous
  • anonymous
You will probably want to take biology because it is easier than chemistry
anonymous
  • anonymous
I heard that biology is rather difficult and a lot of people have trouble with it lol. I don't mind which ever one I have to take. I did an assignment dealing with some of the elements in the periodic table and I understood it. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
Well if you find that easy then you might actually like chemistry more than biology
anonymous
  • anonymous
Maybe. I'll be right back.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Ok
anonymous
  • anonymous
I am back. Sorry for the wait.
anonymous
  • anonymous
@Piggiepigpigs
anonymous
  • anonymous
It is fine. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay ^^ So, what grade are you in?
anonymous
  • anonymous
10th did you already tell me what grade you were in? Im guessing your in 10th also.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I'm not sure if I told you or not. I'm in 9th.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I guess you must be smart at math then if your in geoemtry and your only in 9th grade.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Thanks. :) I need to review a lot of it though.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Review alot of what. Do you mean study for math?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh I see. Did you choose to go into a math class higher than yours because everytime one of my teachers at my old school fairmont asked me if I wanted to go into a higher math class I said no. So I am wondering why you chose to do so unless you love math.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I ran out of math classes in the 7th grade. So, I had to take pre-Algebra at the time. Then, I took algebra 1, and now geometry (9th grade).
anonymous
  • anonymous
They are still making me take three other math classes though in order to graduate. They aren't counting algebra...
anonymous
  • anonymous
LOL how do you run out of math classes?
anonymous
  • anonymous
They didn't have anything else to take that I had not already taken.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I only have to finish geometry to graduate.
anonymous
  • anonymous
That's good. :) How many math classes is required for you to take? I am required to take four.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Then I wont have to take any more math classes and I can focus on my favorited subject, Englsih.
anonymous
  • anonymous
3
anonymous
  • anonymous
English is one of my favorite subjects as well. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
I wondeer why you have to take four math classes. Usually you only have to take three.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Im guessing your in a higher class then your supposed to be in all of your subjects.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I'm going through the school district even though I'm being taught through online courses...it is still the same curriculum as public school. Therefore, the requirements of my local high school is four math classes. I take End of the Course/Year tests through my school.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Only in math.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Enlgish too. I have to go to my school and take the final exams too. Also the curriculum at capitol high school(one of the high schools around here) is the same as it is for my online school. I was going to go through online school with my school however I decided that I didn't want to because they have all these other weird things and requirments that you have to do.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I understand. Are you able to get a diploma?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes
anonymous
  • anonymous
Cool, I will as well.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Are you getting it through Connections Academy or from your high school?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Im confused, do most online schools not allow the student to get a diploma
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah, at least in Missouri.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I will be going back to regular school my senior year so I will be getting it throuh my high school not connections academy.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Do you want to go back to public school, or do you have to?
anonymous
  • anonymous
I want to
anonymous
  • anonymous
I dont want to graduate from any online school. I know it doesn't make a difference, however I would rather have people know that I graduated from capitol because everybody who graduates from there and plans on going to college gets a ten thousand dollar grant.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Wow, that's awesome.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah, however even if they didn't give you a ten thousand dollar grant I would still want to graduate from a public school. Im not sure why I just would.
anonymous
  • anonymous
That's cool. I want to do the same. It's special rather than getting it mailed to you.
anonymous
  • anonymous
That is exactly why I dont want to graduate from any online school.
anonymous
  • anonymous
So are you going to graduate early. The reason I took online school is so I could graduate early. Why did you go to online school?
anonymous
  • anonymous
No, I won't be graduating early. I took online classes because I always got sick in public school. I learn easier through this method.
anonymous
  • anonymous
When I started the 4th grade, I began going through an online school. When did you start?
anonymous
  • anonymous
That sucks that you always got sick. Do you want to graduate early? I started 3 months into this year. I was going to capitol but I didn't like it.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I'll actually be graduating when I'm 17. So, I will be graduating early. I forgot. That's cool. :) Why didn't you like it?
anonymous
  • anonymous
How will you be graduating when you are 17. There were many reasons why I didn't like it but the main reason is because it is known as the drug school in boise
anonymous
  • anonymous
My birthday is in June, and graduation will be in May.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh that's cool
anonymous
  • anonymous
When is your birthday? Mine is June 3rd.
anonymous
  • anonymous
May 29th
anonymous
  • anonymous
Cool
anonymous
  • anonymous
So are you 13 right now or 12?
anonymous
  • anonymous
I'm 14.
anonymous
  • anonymous
but your in 9th grade
anonymous
  • anonymous
Never mind I was adding wrong. LOL
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh okay lol
anonymous
  • anonymous
So, your 15 right?
anonymous
  • anonymous
yes
anonymous
  • anonymous
Cool, I like talking to you. ^^
anonymous
  • anonymous
Thanks I like talking to you too. I just realised that I will graduate when I am 17 too.
anonymous
  • anonymous
No problem, lol that's great.
anonymous
  • anonymous
LOL, are you excited for christmas(if you even celebrate it)?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah, I celebrate it and indeed I am excited. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
Good me too. I just had to make sure you did because I didn't want to offend you for asking you about something that you might not even do.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I understand. Some of my friends don't celebrate Christmas.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I know mine too and sometimes I will forget and they get mad.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I don't really understand why they would get mad. I forgot a few times and they just say "yeah...I don't celebrate it...."
anonymous
  • anonymous
LOL I dont understand either, I feel like they are overreacting but each to their own I guess.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I understand what you mean.
anonymous
  • anonymous
B)
anonymous
  • anonymous
=) Do you have any pets?
anonymous
  • anonymous
LOL do I have any pets, ummm....... Yeah. Do you? I have a herd of 5 guinea pigs all girls, three ferrets a boy and 2 girls, a rabbit he is a boy, a cat she is a girl, two male dogs, a potbelly pig-male, a tea cup pig-female, a boar-male,three chickens, two 80 gallon aquariums, and a bunch of smaller fish tanks. However I want many many more animals. I want to be a veterinarian because I love animals.
anonymous
  • anonymous
In case you were wondering my favorite animal is a pig, hence my user name
anonymous
  • anonymous
Wow, that's a lot! Do you live on a farm (since you have chickens and pigs)? I have three golden retrievers; all brothers. I have a friend who has a lot of aquariums and fish. Cool, I wanted to become a veterinarian but I'm really allergic to cats...I now am considering becoming a teacher, mangaka, or an animator. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
I kind of figured that your favorite animal is a pig. :) My favorite animals are tigers and black bears.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes I live on a farm. What in the world is a mangaka. Am I just being dumb here because I have no clue what you are talking about. Do you like baby black bears or adult black bears more.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh I had two hermit crabs when I was around 5 years old. We didn't know that they fought for bigger shells, or one ended up killing the other. I also had fish that lived in an aquarium when I was 4, but they all died. I then got two goldfish...they ended up jumping in the sink. Eventually, I got another gold fish, named Runner. He lived for 7 or 9 years and then died.
anonymous
  • anonymous
sounds like you you had a few aquatic animals when you were younger
anonymous
  • anonymous
No, of course you're not dumb. It's more of an (japanese) art term. A mangaka is a manga artist who writes a storyline through art; similar to a comic artist but in Japanese format. Have you ever read a manga before? It's like our American comics, but instead of reading it from left to right...you read it from right to left. Additionally, the book starts from what is known as the back/end of the book for us.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh I have heard of those. Yes I have read one and I a sure you would make an amazing mangaka artist.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Thank you very much. :) I appreciate it. I've been drawing my whole life.
anonymous
  • anonymous
LOL I suck at drawing, I wish I knew how to draw. Im not sure why but I love to watch people draw. It is really fascinating!!
anonymous
  • anonymous
It takes practice. I'm sure that you could get the hang of it if you wanted to. :) Yeah, you can learn a lot of cool techniques if you watch people draw sometimes. If you want, you can watch me draw sometime. There is a website (known as join.me) that enables people to view other people's screen. For instance, if I started drawing digitally, then gave you the link. You could see my screen and watch me draw. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
That sounds cool! XD
anonymous
  • anonymous
Indeed. ^^
anonymous
  • anonymous
So do you like school?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes, do you?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yes, yes I do.
anonymous
  • anonymous
so if you do become an artist of any kind would you still want to go to college?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah, I'm not exactly sure on what I want to do yet, but I know I will have to go to a school of some kind. I want to try to get into an art institute/school, but I am still considering college so I have a back-up. Becoming a teacher is one of my back-ups.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Sounds good to me. :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
:) Thanks
anonymous
  • anonymous
Your welcome.
anonymous
  • anonymous
What is your favorite holiday?
anonymous
  • anonymous
My favorite holiday is mothersday because my mom was in prison for most of my life. Since I didn't get to see her that much we both take the whole day off and spend time with eachother. What is your favorite holiday?
anonymous
  • anonymous
That's a good reason. That's nice that you get to do that, and I'm sorry that you don't get to see your mother very often. I like Halloween and Christmas. I like Halloween because I get to dress up. I like Christmas because my big brother comes home and wakes us up really early and is so excited. :) We all spend time together.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I think that you misyou misunderstood me, my mom isn't in prison anymore. I love halloween too. Also I am glad that you and your family get together and hang out on christmas. :D
anonymous
  • anonymous
I understand. It just sounded like you both hang out on Mother's Day still. Thanks. :) Do you have any siblings?
anonymous
  • anonymous
We do still hang out on mothers day. No I dont have any siblings. It is just me... all me!!
anonymous
  • anonymous
How many siblings do you have?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Lol, I only have my big brother. He's 25 years old; we're 11 years apart.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Thats cool. :D are you guys close?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah, we're awesome. ^^ I love it when he comes home. We get to hang out and stuff. :D
anonymous
  • anonymous
Sounds like you enjoy each others company. I bet you cant wait for him to come home on christmas.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Indeed! :)
anonymous
  • anonymous
Would you mind helping me again with a geometry problem please? ^^; I'm a bit confused by it.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I will see what I can do.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Thanks, the question is..what is the measure of angle 2?
anonymous
  • anonymous
|dw:1355816026760:dw|
anonymous
  • anonymous
Ok I am going to walk you through this
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay, just to let you know in case this is part of find what angle 2 is...I believe I already found out what x and y are. x = 2 and y = 1 I believe.
anonymous
  • anonymous
The measure of angle 1 is 37 because 90-53=67
anonymous
  • anonymous
I understand.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Im trying to remember how I did this problem because I have done it.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay, do you think if I told you how I got x and y that might refresh your memory a bit?
anonymous
  • anonymous
yes
anonymous
  • anonymous
What I did is the following: To find x... 3x + 2 = x + 3 Subtract 2 on both sides 3x = x + 1 Subtract x on both sides 2x = 1 Divide 2 on both sides x = 2
anonymous
  • anonymous
X=1
anonymous
  • anonymous
How did you get 1?
anonymous
  • anonymous
because y=x+3 3x+2=x+4 2x+2=4 2x=2 x=1
anonymous
  • anonymous
Where did the x + 4 come from?
anonymous
  • anonymous
on the line
anonymous
  • anonymous
I wrote x + 3..I'm confused..
anonymous
  • anonymous
lol I meant to put x+3 *Derp
anonymous
  • anonymous
It's okay lol ^^
anonymous
  • anonymous
Nevermind I am correct because y=x+3 then you have to plug that into the other y and add 1 that is where you get x+4
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh I understand now.
anonymous
  • anonymous
Ok I have the answer
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay, I'm trying to figure it out.
anonymous
  • anonymous
90+37=127 180-127=63 3x+65=180 3x=115 x= 38 1/3
anonymous
  • anonymous
I meant measure 2 equals 38 1/3 not x. The answer is 38 1/3
anonymous
  • anonymous
The options for that is 47, 74, 37, and 53 degrees. So it'll have to be 37. Just a moment please.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I understand. Am I correct by saying that the value of y = 1?
anonymous
  • anonymous
I just found the assignment with that problem and the answer I got was 38 1/3 and I got it right
anonymous
  • anonymous
y=5
anonymous
  • anonymous
The options they give me are 1 through 4.
anonymous
  • anonymous
I guess it might be 1
anonymous
  • anonymous
No I figured it out y=4
anonymous
  • anonymous
What did you do to get 4?
anonymous
  • anonymous
x=1 1+3=4 4=4 3(1)+2=5 4+1=5 5=5
anonymous
  • anonymous
Why did you have the x + 3 line = 4?
anonymous
  • anonymous
because x =1 1+3=4
anonymous
  • anonymous
Okay, I wasn't sure if that was the case because sometimes we equal lines with other lines and such. Thank you!
anonymous
  • anonymous
Your welcome, sorry it took so long I couldn't remember how to do it.

It's fine. :) Sorry, but I need to go to bed right now. It was fun talking to you. :) My name is Sabrina just to let you know. I hope we can talk again soon.
