A quarter pound is only 4 ounces, which is less than 5 ounces.

    There are 16 ounces per 1 pound. - Reduce - 1 lbs / 4 = a quarter pound 16 ounces / 4 = 4 ounces So, there are 4 ounces in a quarter pound. 4 ounces is less than 5 ounces

the above people are correct... a pound is 16 oz, so 16/4 (since we are talking quarter pound) is 4.. so 4 oz=quarter pound. And is 4oz heavier than 5oz? no.. so thats why she is wrong :)
