The site has been laggy for me, too. Admins said it's because of the sudden increase in traffic. Chrome also has some issues.
As for the Connections Academy thing, I've seen that almost seven times so far. Like, what the hell do they mean by that? I can't say, "Hey, I'm from a Florida high school. Give me all the questions." That just doesn't make any sense. How the hell am I supposed to know what you're asking? Haha, arbitrary questions like that irritate me. You think they'll learn after getting no response the first time.
The problem is that the Connections Academy kids are getting responses - from each other. There are enough connections academy kids on here and willing to post tests - graded tests that are essentially answer keys - that it is a reliable cheating cornucopia. I say we suspend them here, log their IP addresses, give them to Connections Academy and let Connections Academy, expel and otherwise punish their own.
I'd like to point out that not all connections academy kids are in fact using the site to cheat - I know a couple who use the site to actually get live tutoring rather than answers, and who contribute by meaningfully contributing answers. So a blanket ban on all Connections Academy students - even if it were possible to implement - is not a fair solution.
im pretty tempted to just out and out ban all users that post questions that start with "im doing ca test number yada yada".
