A tent in the shape of a triangular prism has a square base with a side of 8 feet and a height of 6 feet. What is the volume of the tent?

    |dw:1356116894335:dw| If this is what your tent looks like.. Volume equals Half the base times the height times the length. or (V=1/2BHL) Your base is 8 ft. Height is 6 ft. and the length would be the same as the base, so 8 ft.

    No problem! Remember to label your volume in the correct units. In this case it would be inches cubed or in^3
