Seventeen members of Tim’s family are going to an amusement park during the week of their family reunion. Adult tickets cost $34 each and child tickets cost $31.50 each. If the total cost for admission to the part is $558, how many adults went to the park? 7 8 9 10

    Let the amount of adults be x. The amount of children would be 17 - x. (Remember this!) The equation would then become 34x + 31.5(17 - x) = 558. Solve for x.
