@mathhelp7 For these type of functions, you will need to make it as a quadratic equation. Squaring every term in the equation should do the trick.

remember 2x+10 is within sqrt and not 6. U cannot add 6 to \(\sqrt{2x+10}\) and make it \(sqrt{2x+16}\) getting it?

    \(\sqrt{2x+10}-6=2\) \(\sqrt{2x+10}-6+6=2+6\) \(\sqrt{2x+10}=2+6\) Gettin this @mathhelp7?
