@jennychan12 oh so if it was just asking what is the correct answer it would be D but since it is asking which isn't then thats what makes C? right
yep u got it :)
@jennychan12 great thanks could you help me with another one?
sure. but can u try it first? o.O
@jennychan12 Choose the missing step in the given solution to the inequality -2x - 14 > -4 + 3x. -2x - 14 > -4 + 3x -5x - 14 > -4 x < -2 A -5x < 10 B -5x > -28 C x < 2 D -5x > 10
what do you think it is?
@jennychan12 i say B
lemme check it's D. how'd u get B?
@jennychan12 at first i had A then i thought about D which seemed like a good choice however i thought it could be B so i was stuck on and B and D
can u show ur work? u don't have to mention me by the way. i'm here.

oh okay. i understand it now
Choose the last step in the given solution to the inequality 3x - 12 < 5x + 8. 3x - 12 < 5x + 8 -2x - 12 < 8 -2x < 20 A x > -10 B x > 10 C x < -10 D x < 10
@Brittni0605 Choose the last step in the given solution to the inequality 3x - 12 < 5x + 8. 3x - 12 < 5x + 8 -2x - 12 < 8 -2x < 20 A x > -10 B x > 10 C x < -10 D x < 10
my answer is A
YAY!! :D |dw:1357174499328:dw|
@jennychan12 Which of the following is not a way to represent the solution of the inequality 8x - (5x + 4) greater than or equal to -31? A x greater than or equal to -9 B -9 less than or greater to x C A number line with a closed circle on -9 and shading to the left. D A number line with a closed circle on -9 and shading to the right.
solve then graph 8x-5x-4 ≥ -31 3x ≥ -27 (you flip the symbol only if the negative is attached to the variable) x ≥ -9 it should be c.
@jennychan12 so the answer is C) a number line with a closed circle on -9 and shading to the left?
yes because it's supposed to be shade to right.
@jennychan12 okay thanks
@jennychan12 Choose the correct description of the graph of the compound inequality. x - 1 less than or greater to 12 or 2x greater than or equal to 30 A) A number line with an open circle on 13, shading to the left, and an open circle on 15, shading to the right. B) A number line with a closed circle on 13, shading to the left, and a closed circle on 15, shading to the right. C) A number line with an open circle on 13, an open circle on 15, and shading in between. D) A number line with a closed circle on 13, a closed circle on 15, and shading in between.
