Set up the equation: Let the amount of shoes she sold be x. Then the equation becomes: 450 (base salary) + 25(x) (How much she earns) = 1325 (Final salary). Then solve for x.

Remove the base salary from the total: 1325 450 = 875 Now you know that 875$ came only from the comissions.
