If you rotate triangle XNY about point N so that X coincides with Z, you will also have Y coincide with W because the angle XNY is equal to ZNW. The two triangle are congruent by SAS, so XY is congruent to WZ. You can show similarly that XW is congruent to ZY. You can also show that angle xwz is congruent to zyx by adding the component corresponding congruent angles. Same for wxy and yzw, so the sides must be parallel.
