What is the value of n in the equation 8n + 6 = 10?

    We'd like to use the properties of equality here in order to get the n alone on the left side. Are you familiar with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing from both sides? Essentially, we just want to do the inverse operation to cancel with whatever is with the n.
