that 440 is supposed to be $40
hba
  • hba
And 75 $
hba
  • hba
So if you take it again 75+40=115 $

but why

To get a driver's license, most states require that you pass a both a written test and a road test. In one state you pay a fee of $35 to take the written test and another $40 to take the road test. If you fail the road test, you must pay the road test fee again to retake it.

Can you confirm what the question wants?

" If you got your licence the first time you repeated the road test, what would you have paid in total?" If you got your licence the first time, you DON'T repeat the road test. It's does not sound clear to me.

Sure.

As @hba said, if you don't repeat the road test, it costs you $35+40=$75. If you repeat the road test (once only), then it costs $75+40=$115. Lots of people don't succeed in the repeat road test.
hba
  • hba
So that is actually your answer and you have repeated it once.

okay nevermind I have nothing to say!!!!!!!!!!

If i am guessing right.

then :what was the number of road test taken?
hba
  • hba
Once you fail it you repeat it so the number of road test taken must be 2.

  • anonymous
ur right i got that correct

As I said, the question is not clear: " If you got your licence the first time you repeated the road test, what would you have paid in total?" If you got your licence the first time, you DON'T repeat the road test. The question is contradictory.

  • anonymous
Yeah I got it thanks for you help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps the question is: If you "DID NOT" get your licence the first time you repeated the road test, what would you have paid in total?
hba
  • hba
Well,@mathmate is correct that your question was not correct. Anyways,@Tahmina You are welcome :)
