## KCB 2 years ago Please help 3 easy questions! Solve for x: 5x + 2 = 4x − 9 7 −7 11 −11 Solve for x: 3(x + 1) = −2(x − 1) − 4 1 −1 −5 −25

1. KCB

Solve for x: −3(x + 3) = −3(x + 1) − 5 6 −6 All real numbers No solution

2. ashlynn143

ok ok i will help

3. KCB

ok so how do i solve these?

4. ashlynn143

ok so for number one (i will explain them) \[5x +2 = 4x -9\] \[9x +2 =-9\] then you minus two from both sides and they you will come out with \[9x= -7\]

5. ashlynn143

do you know how to solve them??????

6. ashlynn143

it

7. ashlynn143

ok well i will show you |dw:1358220407122:dw|\[x = -1.28\]

8. ashlynn143

o wait that is not there

9. ashlynn143

ok let me rethink

10. ashlynn143

yes ok so you get the answer for number one is to group like terms take the x over the equal sign then change the signe before it so positive 4x becomes - ...5x-4x=x the two u carried over becomes negatie -9-2=-11 ur welcome try some using this principle x=-11

11. ashlynn143

ok so now you got the rest good ok bye

12. blondie16

lol ^^ ashy mai smart bestie :D good job :P

13. ashlynn143

hehe thanks

14. KCB

thanks for solving one. and blondie16, guess ur not as smart as u say :) lol

15. ashlynn143

you welcome

16. ashlynn143

and dont judge blondieee

17. KCB

so is -11 the right answer or wut ? and im not judging her

18. ashlynn143

see she did help you so you shouldn't be calling her name just cuz you dont know how to do the questions >:|

19. ashlynn143

did you do that math ???i showed you the steps two different kinds you need to do the math

20. KCB

well you showed me 2 ways and it seemed like u didnt kno how to solve it the first time. i aint bout dat drama so thanks for the help

21. ashlynn143

ok but did you do the math

22. KCB

yes thanks
