A group of workers is tired of having to work 10-hour days. They gather together on their time off outside of their work place and protest. Their employer calls the police. The people are arrested. Why would their lawyer use the First Amendment to protect them?
A.The employer has no right to request arrest of private citizens.
B.They were speaking their minds peacefully in a public place.
C.The lawyer knows local courts cannot handle a constitutional case.
D.They were gathered illegally on private property.
