    on the second it kind of depends what laws you are taking about but None. America's Laws were established through our forefather's belief in The Mosaic Laws of the God Yahweh of The Old Testament as being the only laws that would guarantee America's future success as a free country for all humans to live. That is how The Bible became the book of choice for our courts of law to swear people in on. The God America always referred to from the start in our motto "In God We Trust" has been the God Yahweh and never any other religions god or gods.

    Athens was a direct democracy (among adult males, but that's beside the point), probably the only one in history. Their form of government is similar ideologically to American government. Rome was a republic before it was an empire. Romans had the first Senate, elected by the people (I think). In an unrelated note, much of the architecture in Washington, DC, is based on the Greco-Roman style.

    the family structure and much of the ideas we find in our notions of family and household operations can be traced back to ancient rome.

    but in the end, the greek and romans got most of the ideas from Ancient Egypt so you can give them the credit

    although they got most of there ideas from Egypt, i would not say that out government and laws, are based on them because we were founded on faith of Christ. The Greeks and Romans have influenced the world of course with republic and democracies but it really depends what government and laws you are talking about
