    I got the inverse of the function as H^-1 = sqrt(x-3) But I don't know where to go from there..

    I am guessing it represents a parabola and if i am not wrong a parabola is a function.

    You just have to graph them and see if they are functions.If the vertical line crosses the graph more than once its not a function.
