first do distributive property. 3 times x=3x. 3times 7= 21. Now your equation is 3x21=18. Then add 21 on both sides. and go on.

First you have to distribute the 3: 3x  21 = 18 Then you Isolate X by adding 21 to both sides: 3x 21 = 18 +21 +21 3x = 3 Then you divide both sides by 3 to get your answer: x= 3
