solve -3(x+7)=-18

    first do distributive property. -3 times x=-3x. -3times 7= -21. Now your equation is -3x-21=-18. Then add 21 on both sides. and go on.

    First you have to distribute the -3: -3x - 21 = -18 Then you Isolate X by adding 21 to both sides: -3x -21 = -18 +21 +21 -3x = 3 Then you divide both sides by -3 to get your answer: x= -3
