Can someone please explain to me how coordinate geometry is used in navigation, archaeology, and space?
Maps are 2d coordinate geometry, as they assume over a small patch of area, small being a relative term, that the area is flat and can be treated as a coordinate plane with 2 dimensions. In space, the same holds, except you can use a 3d coordinate grid to represent places in space.
