(-2,-1) and (2,-6) Find the Slope: Y2-Y1/ X2-X1 m= -6-(-1)=-5 2-(-2)= 4 m=-5/4 To find the standard form of the equation of the line and the slope intercept, we use the formula Y-Y1= m(X-X1). You can you choose any of the ordered pairs given, but just use one. Im going to use (2, -6) and substitute into the formula. Y-(-6)=-5/4(X-2) Y+6= -5/4x+5/2 -6 -6 ________________________ y= -5/4x-7/2 Now just put this in Ax+By=C and you have your answer!!
