How did John of Damascus differ from Justinian I in history? (This can be found using wikipedia and searching each person then compare and contrast). What makes the Ottomans important? The Ottoman civilization was kind to the ones they conquered. They civilization had religions freedom. The Ottomans also had gathered the smartest population for 600 years and ruled large portions of the world. With this it makes them very much important. What was the relationship between the Ottomans and the Byzantines? The relationship was horrible. The Byzantine–Ottoman Wars were over some conflicts until it got so bad that Ottomans took over the Byzantines all together. Describe 3 things that were significant during the Medieval Age in Europe 1) The plague aka Black Death killed off about 1/3 of the population. 2) Europe increased greatly as technological and agricultural innovations allowed trade to flourish and crop yields to increase. 3) Crusades. What type of geography does Japan have? They have about 1000 islands, but 4 main ones. Total land space of the Japanese islands is about 142,000 square miles. About 15% of Japan is usable for agriculture. In this case. It's quite small for then so they can only support themselves in the import/export area. I almost forgot the four main islands are Honshû, Shikoku, Kyûshû and Hokkaidô.
