Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/index.html is the home of the Oracle Java Trail. http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/index.html is the start of the Swing GUI tutorial... not too sure why you have to do this problem without any prior knowledge of Java...
