how would history be different if washington D.C wasn't chosen as the nation's capital?

    If Washington D.C wasn't chosen as the nation's capital a lot would be different. Start with it it was more in the south. When Abraham Lincoln was was president, he had a hard time already trying to keep Maryland from succession. If it was more in the south. It may have succeed and chaos would happen.
