1. Octagon ABCDEFGH and its dilation, octagon A’B’C’D’E’F’G’H’, are shown on the coordinate plane below. If the center of dilation is at the origin, by what scale factor was octagon ABCDEFGH dilated? (2 points)

    1/4 1/2 2 those are the possible answers. does anybody know? i am having lots of trouble.

    Each side of the new octagon are 2 units bigger. Choosing 1/4 or1/2 would be saying that the second triangle was smaller.
