OHHHHH!! OK I got x=-3
no... try again.... be careful...
x=3
how did u get that? try again...
okay so i got 2x+15=-3x and then i subtracter -2 from -3 on the other side
ok... you moved the 10 over from the right side so that means you needed to SUBTRACT 10 from both sides... that 15 should be a -5... ????
OHHHHH! SORRY!! I forgot to do inverse operation !
so let's take it from there now.... 2x - 5 = -3x what next?
you subtract -2 from -3x
you mean subtract 2x from both sides.... ??? 2x - 5 -2x = -3x -2x
can you simplify both sides??
|dw:1360045806698:dw|
you're solving for x so you do not want to cancel x.... cancel the -5 instead...|dw:1360045928707:dw|
now solve for y....
ok its y=2
how did u get that? you can use either equation from the beginning....
just plug in x=1 to either equation to find y...
yeah that's exacly what i did @dpaInc oohh wait i checked it and i got 7 now
lol... that's correct now...
YAYxD they are asking for the value of x and in the beggining we talked that it was x=1
oh... you didn't need to find the value for y ???
no.but that's alright dont worry.thanks so much,i suck at algebra so i really need all the help i can get=D
you don't suck at algebra.... just need practice like everyone else.... keep up the good work... cya! :)
