The Stink Bombs are a punk band from New York. They formed in the late 1990s and have put out three CDs. The most famous CD by the Stink Bombs is their 1999 album Achoo, Bless You, followed closely by their platinum record of 1998 P.S. I'm Over You. The Stink Bombs are a great band to see live in concert and have played more than 300 shows in two years, including the memorable PunkFest in December of 2000. The guitar is the main instrument in the band, and the female lead singer mostly yells and screams about her life growing up in the 1980s and about all the guys she loves. Another great musical group from New York is Groovy G and the Mips. Groovy G is a female singer with a gorgeous voice. Together with her backup band the Mips, Groovy G makes beautiful piano-based blues music about looking at paintings, traveling, and growing up in New York. Groovy G and the Mips put out six CDs in the 1980s but broke up in 1988. In 1984, they won a National Music Award for Best New Act, and in 1985, they were asked to play at the Super Bowl. The most famous CD by them is their 1985 album Keep the Change.
