Use numerical and graphical representations to represent whether the relation x-y^2=2 is a function.

    it is not a function because of the \(y^2\)

    here is a picture of the parabola. you can see that it does not pass the "vertical line test" meaning some \(x\) values correspond to two different \(y\) values http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=x-y^2%3D2
