why is the position of hydrogen not fixed in the modern perodic table?

    since no one helped meeeeee......!i found it my self the reasons are : 1.hydrogen is placed in the first group because all the elements in tht group has valance electrons of 1. so it is kept like tht. 2.hydrogen also is elctropositve like the halogens.so it can also be placed in that group
