how do I get python?

    i found it offered at Python (go figure), anybody know which version to get or does it matter

    you will need Python version 2.5.4 (any 2.5.x or 2.6.x version of Python will work, but 3.0 versions are NOT compatible). The MIT website lists the links to get it here with additional information: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00sc-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-spring-2011/software/

    i think they use 2.7 versions for 2011 course
