Work out the equations of the 2 lines which bound the shaded area, by doing the difference in y for each line divided by the difference in the x and finding where they would intersect the y axis

The first line has equation y = x + 6. The second has...well, the slope is 1 and is would pass the yaxis in y = 4. So now you can write down the second equation. You have the area above the lines, so y >x + 6 AND y > ....

It must be: y > x+6 means: the area above the left line y > x  4 means: the area above the right line Both these conditions are needed to get the shaded part...
