In biology, a "population" is a group of organisms, of the SAME species, that live in the same area, at the same time. In other words, a "population" could be a group of the same kinds of plants, or animals, in a certain area. Like a population of bears in a forest, for example. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ To help you answer this question, I'll point out a fact: birds migrate. You know that, right? I know almost nothing about birds, but we do know that birds migrate. When the seasons change, birds will move from one place to another. So, in the summer time, we might see lots of birds, in a certain area. But in the winter time, there might be no birds, because they've all moved. Migrated.
