how to destroy magnetic properties of a magnet?

    heat it beyond curie point. you may also put it in a alternating current carrying solenoid.

    yeah, you can either heat it beyond Curie point. You can even hit it hard till it loses its magnetic property.

    ..my first idea was to just give it to a 4 year old, they can destroy anything :)
