A curve has the equation y=f(x). write an expression for the slope of the secant line through the points P(3,f(3)) and Q(x,f(x)).

    a/ slope m = [f(x)-f(3)]/(x-3) b/ tangent y - f(3) = [lim m ,as x-->3](x-3)

    well when you work it out i dont understand what your get will it just be f(x) - 2/(x-3)
