Simplify by combining like terms. x+6+2= x+8+14= Please explain answers if you can!

    Add like terms. Add the terms that are ALIKE. x + x + 2 + 3 for example. The X's are both like terms. The 2 and 3 are also like terms y + y + x + x for example. The y's cannot be added to the x's, but they can be added to the y's to get 2y.

    it is given 10x+2x-7x so it is 5x -10-8+13=-5
