    For the second one, I think you just reflect triangle ABC over the x axis and dilate, but you'll have to check on that.

    Yeah... It's right. The dilation rate is 2/3. You kinda stare at the graph. Congruent transformations include translations, reflects, and rotations. It's not translations or rotations because it it need that specific orientation

    5. You have parallel lines, so alternate interior angles are congruent. You also have vertical angles congruent so AA~AA. Then, you use the theorum "If two triangles are similar, then the ratio of any two corresponding segments (such as altitudes, medians, or angle bisectors) equals the ratio of any two corresponding sides."

    to question #1 Δ QPR and ΔBAC are similar since they have pairs of angle equal, ∠PQR =∠ABC; ∠QPR =∠BAC and PRQ=∠ACB ---> they are similar. the ratio is PQ PR PR AQ AQ 2 -- = -- and -- = -- and -- = - AB AC AC BC BC 3 . you can calculate by replace the length of sides into my equation to figure out that the ratio between them is 2 - 3 the condition to have that conclusion is you must name the triangles in order makes them similar. if you change the order, you cannot find out the ratio. . I don't know whether you still need the explanation or not, if it's too late. I'm sorry. My help is out of date.
